Preschool Playgroup

Are you ready to go back to school? Join us every Thursday morning starting October 15 at 11:00 am. Why does a groundhog want to see his shadow? Will Sleeping Beauty ever wake up? Are giraffes often mistaken as chairs? Join us for a fun story time that answers these questions, plays games, creates crafts and more. 

This program is geared toward ages 3 – 5 years and lasts approximately thirty minutes.

Follows the Community Unit #2 School Calendar.

Tots and Toddlers

This program meets six times a year  and is geared to children birth to three years of age. Join us for singing, rhymes, and stories.

 

 

Summer Reading Program

The theme for Summer 2020 is “Dig Deeper: Read, Investigate, Discover”.  

The program runs from  July 1 to Aug. 8.  The summer programs and activities are centered around discovering.  Be sure to join these exciting activities:

  • Downtown Dino Search – Click here for more information.
  • Story Walk in the Park – Click here for more information.
  • Dino Kits – We have a glimpse of what prehistoric life looked like from fossils. Create your own dinosaur fossil with a Dino Kit. Each kit has air dry clay, paint, brush, dinosaur skeleton and directions for you to create your very own clay fossil. Call 815-496-2031 or email your request to bwood@rwrlibrary.org and pick up your kit today!
  • Lego Contest – Don’t let those newly developed Lego building skills go to waste. Show us your latest creation. Submit a photo of your creation with your name and phone number to bwood@rwrlibrary.org. Photos will be posted on the Robert Rowe Library’s Facebok page and our online community will vote on their favorites. Enter as many creations as you like starting Monday, July 13 and ending August 8. 
  • Badge locations are BP/Subway, Calico Cafe, Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream, Francesca Pizza, Kutz U2, Norway Store, Resource Bank, Rick Passow – Country Financial, Sheridan Bank, Sheridan Food Mart, Sheridan Hair Company.
