Who We Are?

Our Mission

To serve the residents of the Robert Rowe Public Library District as a center of lifelong learning, offer general information on a broad array of topics, and address the desire of community residents to know and better understand their community heritage.

Our Services for You

Your Library Card: Library cards are provided free of charge to all residents of our district as part of your tax-supported library services. Your card gives you borrowing privileges here and at most public libraries in Illinois, access to special online resources, and more. Click here to learn how to get a library card.

Computers: Computers are available for public use.  Everyone who uses a library computer must follow our policy regarding computer and Internet use.

Remote Printing: If you need to print from home or your personal laptop this link will send your print job to the library’s print station.  The print job must be picked up and paid for within two hours. https://www.printeron.net/robertrowepl/webprint

Programs and Events: We have a regular schedule of educational and cultural events for all ages. See our calendar for details.

Interlibrary Loan: Do you need a book, DVD, or other item that is not available?  We can help you place a hold or place a hold for you.

Reference Services: Reference service is available during all hours the library is open.  The staff can help with all kinds of questions via phone, fax, e-mail or in person.

Notary Service: There is a Notary Public on staff.  Please call ahead to schedule an appointment.

Voter Registration: To register to vote please bring two forms of identification, one of which should be a photo ID.

Photocopier and Fax Machine: Photocopying is available for $.10/page for black and white copies and $.25/page for color copies.  Faxing service is available for $1.00/page.

Community/Meeting Room: Any group wishing to use the Community Room please refer to the community room policy.

Test Proctor: There is a test proctor on staff.  Please contact the agency that is issuing the test then call the library to schedule an appointment to take the test.

Sunday Closed

Closed dates

The library will be closed for special circumstances approved by the Board of Trustees or during an emergency. 
The library will close on the following holidays: 
New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Spring Holiday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.
