Story Time in the Park

Join us Friday, September 11 at 11:00 am for stories, songs, and stretches while we have fun, observe social distancing, and enjoy fresh air at Centennial Park. For more information call the library at 815-496-2031. Geared to ages 2-5. Registration is required. (In the event of inclement weather the program will be rescheduled.)

Hunt for Bigfoot

Have you heard of a Sasquatch, Bigfoot, Yeti, or Orang Pendek sightings here in downtown Sheridan? Try to locate dark ape-like silhouettes,keep track of how many you find then stop in the library and tell us how many you’ve seen for a sweet reward! The hunt is through the month of September.

Afternoon Movie

This month the movie to be shown is “Dance, Girl, Dance” starring Maureen O’Hara and Lucille Ball. Join us Tuesday, August 18 at 1:00 pm for a free movie on our big screen.


Looking for a T-Rex or maybe a Pachycephalosaurus?? Time to start digging – Come to the Robert Rowe Library and hold real dinosaur fossils, soak up incredible facts and learn what a Paleontological dig is like!

Magic for Muggles – Part 2

2:00pm – Sorting Hat Ceremony 2:15pm – “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” movie. (There will be snacks!) 4:30pm – Hogwart’s House Cup! Each house will compete against each other in a scavenger hunt, trivia game, and a word scramble to win the House Cup.
